MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION FOR HEALTH: SIX-WEEK PROGRAM
This program aims to help individuals cultivate a non-judgmental awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences to help interrupt negative thinking patterns, develop routines around self-care, enhance emotional awareness, and improve mental health and overall quality of life.
Program Format:
This program is delivered online via Zoom with some hybrid sessions planned. It is a cohort-based program, meaning the same group of people takes sessions together for the duration of the program.

Curriculum Objectives:
learn tools to recover from stress and comfort oneself when they are suffering.
develop a daily pratctice of mindfulness and meditation
practice self-appreciation and self-love.
develop greater emotional awareness and self-awareness.
experiencing thoughts and emotions without extremes and avoiding extremes of suppression or
better understand the relationship between thoughts and feelings
identify thinking patterns to disengage from unhelpful habits or cognitive distortions
practice positive thinking habits like gratitude and perspective taking
Parameters of Participation
This program teaches participants the tools needed to develop and cultivate a mindfulness and self-compassion practice. It is not a substitute for mental health care, personal therapy, or medical treatment. Safety and emotional well-being are fundamental to mindfulness and self-compassion training; you are primarily responsible for your safety. Teachers and facilitators cannot provide medical or psychological care. Course experiences may bring up challenging memories or feelings.
